This summer he’s got healthy teeth!
Full summer! It’s time for holidays, for the beach, for trips, for terraces at night, ice cream, cold drinks… In these months we tend to relax, to break with the monotony of day to day… but that’s not an excuse to stop taking care of our teeth. Here are three tips to take advantage of summer and look the best of your smiles.
If the sun shines, your smile also shines.
Vitamin D is scientifically proven to help metabolize the calcium your teeth need to stay healthy. And what’s the most important source of vitamin D? The sun, as you well know. Sunbathing every day for a while will not only give you the dose of vitamin D your teeth need, but will also help slow the progression of tooth decay. So you know: every day to sunbathe on the beach or wherever. But do it in moderation and don’t forget to take care of your skin from ultraviolet rays with a good sunscreen.
Move so your teeth don’t move.
A study in the Journal of Dentistry points out that regular exercise is good for preventing gum disease. Take advantage of times when it’s not too hot to run, do gymnastics, walk in the countryside, swim in the pool or the sea…exercise in general. Enjoy the summer. Go out and take care of your teeth.
The best treatment for your teeth is on your plate.
Because summer comes loaded with fruits full of vitamins and antioxidants. Apricots, cherries, avocados, paraguayas, plums, peaches, watermelons, melons, figs and brevas that will provide you with the vitamins your teeth need every day. The best way to take care of your teeth is to use them eating seasonal fruits and vegetables.
We encourage you to follow these three simple tips. Take care of your mouth in a healthy and natural way (and of course, don’t forget to brush your teeth three times a day). And this summer your smile will shine brighter than the sun!
